Bear Bear

Introducing Bear Bear 13 month old Pug x:

Admitted to hospital with history of having not eaten for 3 days, this normal full of life family man was sad & depressed.

A radiograph showed multiple areas odd bits and pieces. It was decided Bear Bear needed urgent surgery to investigate his apparent obstruction, lucky we did as when he was in surgery Jane found intestines which had began to perforate; the corners of the hose was so sharp, his stomach was blocked and so was a large portion of his small intestine.

After 3.5 hours of surgery on Saturday afternoon, Bear Bear had his obstruction and 4cm of intestine removed.

He woke happily from surgery and was cared for by the team for three more days in hospital to make sure his stomach was working and to make sure no infection occurred.

Once he was eating he went home to his family he continued to improve and is now back to his happy self!!!
Huge thank you the team you all worked tirelessly, helping Bear Bear through all stages of his time at the hospital. Big thank you to his family for trusting us with his care he is a darling young man and we have all enjoyed looking after him. xox

Loop and circular foreign material found on X-ray. Contents included - garden hose, rope toy, teddy fluff, tennis ball....Stitches out & back to his normal happy self.
